In Taichung City, Taiwan, investments have been made to develop six BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) routes that cover the entire city. To ensure the safe and smooth operation of this entire BRT system, a real-time control and monitoring system is essential, and this network will be used at all BRT stations and the control center. Considering the hierarchical nature of the BRT system, an ideal solution for this application is to build a robust Ethernet backbone that supports centralized management and accommodates the large volume of data and video sent from over 40 BRT stations.
